What is so attractive about Nam Cuong sand dunes?

Stretching from the Dong Hai coast to Cha Bang mountain, Nam Cuong sand dunes are likened to a desolate desert with many mysteries. Coming here, you will feel the smallness of humans in the vast nature and be immersed in the beautiful things that make visitors "can't stop walking" below.

1. The trail is filled with green trees

Following the small road leading to the sand dunes, visitors will pass by a large garden with many types of green trees, from fruitful green grape vines to fragrant ripe apple orchards to towering ferns, green bamboo groves or long wild cactus bushes. Walking under the shady trees and looking out into the distance, you will see pure white salt fields—a scene that brings a feeling of peace that is hard to describe in words.

2. Unique flying sand dunes that change every hour

Upon setting foot on Nam Cuong sand dunes, visitors will not be able to help but admire the rows of sand stretching one after another, forming layers like undulating waves. With just a gust of wind, the sand slopes will begin to move slowly, forming new layers of waves.

In particular, not only in shape, Nam Cuong sand dunes also change in color depending on location, angle and even time of day. The blend of sand patches with diverse light and dark colors, orange and yellow, and the changes in shape—from straight to soft curves—are all works brought to this land by the sun and the wind.

3. The natural landscape is wild and impressively beautiful

Nam Cuong not only has sand on all four sides but also possesses beautiful natural scenery surrounding the "little desert". Standing on the top of a sand dune, visitors can admire the blue East Sea, the majestic mountains and forests of the Cha Bang range, or the peaceful villages, rice fields and orchards.

4. Catch sunrise and sunset in the romantic desert

Sunrise and sunset are the two most beautiful times of the day at Nam Cuong Sand Dunes. In the early morning, when the sun begins to rise and the sky is not yet clear, the sand slopes change color from dark to gradually brighter with each ray of sunlight, and finally the orange-yellow light spreads all over. The sun was already high.

At sunset, the sky turns pink and gradually dyes the whole space red, while the sand dunes also change color from orange to pink, gradually sinking into darkness. While watching the movement of nature and feeling the rare peaceful space, what could be more effective in recharging the spirit?

5. Extreme virtual living with a 1-0-2 desert background

Coming to Nam Cuong, you will regret it if you don't own a set of photos in the ultimate nomadic or bohemian style. With a wild sand dune background perfectly combined with light and wind, you just need to freely pose, and you will have satisfactory photos from every angle. A small tip is that to have an impressive photo shoot, don't be afraid to "dress up" with brightly colored outfits like yellow, red, orange,... Use vintage accessories and take advantage of "cool, don't ask" off-road vehicles as signature props.

6. Explore the daily life of indigenous people

Visitors to Nam Cuong Ninh Thuan sand dunes will easily see images of the daily lives of the indigenous Cham people living in the nearby village. These could be Cham girls wearing baskets and walking leisurely on the sand, or shepherds leisurely herding sheep and goats, or Cham children flying kites, playing cartwheels or having fun sandboarding. Watching the simple lifestyle of the people here, you will forget all the pressures of life and enjoy the slow passage of time.

Experiences when having fun at Nam Cuong sand dunes

  • Choose lightweight clothes, sandals or slippers for easy movement, and don't forget to bring a hat and apply sunscreen carefully.
  • Because this is still a pristine tourist destination with few services, you should prepare your own mineral water and spare snacks.
  • Fully charge your phone and camera to enjoy your virtual life.
  • Do not leave trash lying around, and remember to clean your area before leaving.
  • When walking on the sand, you should limit walking barefoot and be careful to avoid stepping on cacti or dangerous sharp objects buried in the sand.

With scenery like a remote desert, Nam Cuong Ninh Thuan sand dunes will bring super interesting experiences that you cannot miss when coming to Ninh Thuan.
