Why is it called Cu Lan Village?

Cu Lan village was formed by the oral story of Cu Lan. The story goes that once there was a young man who left the city and went to the forest to find a beautiful place like a fairy tale to build a life for him and the girl he loved. Many people considered him foolish for what he did, calling him Cu Lan.

After many days of climbing passes and wading streams, Cu Lan finally found a place as beautiful as a fairy tale and built a village there. From there, the name "Cu Lan village" was born.

But there is also an explanation for this name that sounds more scientific and reasonable. That is, the name of this village is named after a precious medicinal herb that has the effect of treating wounds, called the Cu Lo plant. In the past, this place was still wild, so it also became the habitat of Cu Lan - gentle animals with big, round eyes. Therefore, the name "Cu Lan village" was born there.
