In this article, HoaBinh Tourist will share with you the experience of successfully hunting clouds in Dai Binh mountain (Bao Loc) from A to Z!

The brief introduction to Dai Binh Mountain (Bao Loc)

Dai Binh Mountain (Bao Loc) is also known as Spung Mountain. This is a famous place in Lam Dong for those who are passionate about trekking, climbing, camping, cloud hunting and experiencing many other interesting activities.

Location

Spung Mountain is known as "the roof of Bao Loc city". Located in Loc Thanh district, Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province, this place is 11km south of the city center. With an altitude of more than 1200m above sea level, standing from above, you can see the majestic, dreamlike natural panorama of Bao Loc city.

Road to Dai Binh mountain

If you start from the city center, go along Nguyen Dinh Chieu street and get to Nguyen Van Cu street. Then, you turn left towards Lam Son - Chi Lang route. Here, you turn right onto Highway 20 bypass and continue about 1.5km. Next, turn left through Hoai Thanh, follow the trail and you will reach the foot of the mountain.

The slope up the mountain is quite high and difficult to navigate, so it's best to join trekking tours or find door-to-door shuttle services. If you are a steady driver, you can absolutely move up the mountain by motorcycle or private car.

Experience in hunting clouds in Dai Binh mountain (Bao Loc)

For tourists who have just started their rattan hunting trip in Dai Binh, there will surely be many questions that need to be answered. Let's learn about the experience of cloud hunting from A-Z of Spung Mountain to have a perfect experience!

Which season is the best to hunt clouds at Spung mountain?

The best time to travel and hunt clouds in Dai Binh is from October to April of the following year. This is the time when Lam Dong enters the dry season, and the weather is relatively nice. The sky is usually clear, there is little rain and the road is quite easy and less slippery.

If you still want to experience sightseeing and cloud hunting here at another time, remember to check the weather forecast in advance!

What time of day should you hunt clouds?

According to the experience of many people who have successfully hunted clouds in Dai Binh mountain, the best time to hunt clouds is in the morning, from 4 a.m. to 5 a.m. At this time, the sun has not yet come out and the clouds have not yet melted away, creating a magical floating scene like a fairyland that feels like you can reach out and touch it.

Another rule of thumb is that if there was heavy rain the night before, the next morning is more likely to be cloudy. Therefore, you should check the weather forecast in advance to be able to prepare a better cloud hunting plan.

Necessary clothing and equipment when hunting clouds in Dai Binh mountain

Warm clothes

In the early morning, the temperature on the mountain will be quite cold, so remember to bring a warm jacket, gloves, wool hat, shoes, etc. to avoid catching a cold.

If you want to check-in to save the beautiful moments of cloud hunting, prioritize choosing white-toned clothing to harmonize with the color of the floating clouds. If you want to photograph vintage tones, blending with nature, choose deep brown!

Phones, cameras and tripods

Phones, cameras, and tripods are definitely items not to be forgotten when hunting clouds in Dai Binh Mountain. To capture impressive moments and not miss the most beautiful frames, remember to fully charge your phones and cameras!

Food

If you go cloud hunting early in the morning, eat a snack before going. If you don't eat in advance, you should prepare some food to bring with you, such as bread, sausages, dry food, milk, and warm water. Because the road up the mountain is deserted and there are no shops, it is especially necessary to bring food and drinks before climbing to the top of the mountain.
