1. Where is the Ha Giang happiness road?

Happy Road is the name of the route on National Highway 4C, starting around Milestone 0 of Ha Giang City and passing through 4 highland districts, including Yen Minh, Quan Ba, Dong Van, and Meo Vac. With a length of nearly 200 km, Ha Giang's road of happiness brings together all the quintessence and wonderful beauty of the Northeast.

Ha Giang Happiness Road started construction in September 1959; after 8 years, it was completed. The project has a total length of about 200 km, running through the Dong Van stone plateau and the top of Ma Pi Leng pass to Meo Vac.

The reason this road is called the "happy road" is because it is the result of sacrifices of both blood and flowers and is the tradition of strength and solidarity of the youth of 16 ethnic groups in 2 million days of work all the time. More than 1,300 young volunteers and more than 1,000 workers worked with very primitive tools—just hoes, shovels, crowbars, sledgehammers, etc.—in extremely difficult conditions, lacking food, drinking water, and even the harsh climate of the highlands (sometimes too hot, sometimes too cold).

However, they overcame everything, with the hands and minds of thousands of people, they opened the way to contribute to bringing a prosperous life to the nation and the people here. This can be considered a miracle that everyone traveling to Ha Giang must admire.
