Content 23/02/2024 26

Truoc Beach is one of the interesting tourist destinations that you should not miss when coming to the coastal city of Vung Tau. This place not only stretches with blue sea and golden sunshine but also offers impressive sights and delicious dishes that you cannot resist. Let's join HoaBinh Tourist to learn about this beautiful beach right away.

Overview of Truoc Beach, Vung Tau

Truoc Beach (also known as Tam Duong Beach) is located southwest of Vung Tau, shaped like a crescent moon with its back leaning against the sea. Truoc Beach is surrounded by two high mountains, Tuong Ky Mountain and Tao Phung Mountain.

This place is painted with the blue color of the sea, the golden color of the sand, and the green color of the hills and mountains. Along the coast are rows of large green coconut trees, which locals previously called Hang Dua Bay. Below is a park covered with green areas, creating a cool and pleasant space.

Moreover, you can also admire the large and small ships anchored after returning from nights of fishing. Furthermore, this is also one of the beautiful beaches in Vung Tau, chosen by many tourists for their trip.

In terms of space, Truoc Beach is located from the green light (traffic light) to Cau Da, corresponding to number 1 Tran Phu, across Quang Trung Street and part of Ha Long Street. These are all major roads in the center of Vung Tau City, so tourists can easily find them.

Because Truoc Beach is in the center of Vung Tau city, this area has many large buildings and a variety of hotels, motels, and homestays, so the space here is always busier than at Sau Beach, especially at night.

The time the city lights up is also the time when tourists can fully enjoy the atmosphere here. The wind blowing in from the sea brings a bit of chill combined with the sound of ocean waves, creating a pleasant feeling. In the distance, there are the faint lights of a ship going out to sea to catch fish. They all created a very romantic scene.

Interesting destinations are not to be missed when coming to Truoc Beach

Although there are not many beautiful sightseeing locations like the Sau Beach area, Truoc Beach in Vung Tau has places with the breath of a coastal city along with wild but romantic beauty. You can choose the following places to visit to add to your upcoming plan to "break" Vung Tau:

1. Truoc Beach

Possessing a beautiful beach with small, quiet waves, Truoc Beach is one of the interesting places where you can freely take virtual photos. The coast runs along an arc like half a moon leaning against the sea, making this place full of uniqueness.

However, because this is an anchorage area for many fishing boats, the sea water here is not clean, so bathers are very limited. Currently, the local government has been renovating the beach to make it clean and beautiful so that local people and tourists can bathe comfortably without worrying about oil or garbage sticking to their bodies.

2. Big Mountain

Vung Tau Big Mountain, also known as Dai Son Mountain, is one of the two most beautiful mountains in the coastal city of Vung Tau. Rising up in the open sea and sky, they create a rather large blue dot, as if adorning a beautiful picture here.

Currently, the most modern cable car system has been installed by investors to help tourists move from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain easily instead of traveling by road. Because of this investment, it has contributed to making the journey to explore the Big Mountain landscape more enjoyable.

More specifically, through the window of the cable car, tourists can admire the majestic seascape with a stretch of golden sand mixed with a green patch of hills and undulating high-rise houses. They have created a unique picture.

3. Small Mountain

Small Mountain is also known by another name, Tao Phung Mountain. The mountain is only about 170m high but has an area of up to 120 hectares. At the foot of the mountain is a winding coastal road—one of the places where tourists can check in virtually.

Going all the way to Small Mountain, you will reach Nghinh Phong Peak. This mountain peak is like a big brother, embracing Huong Phong beach and Vong Nguyet beach—two beautiful, famous beaches in Vung Tau city.

Another plus point unique to Small Mountain is that this mountain includes two small peaks, which, when combined with coastal roads, create a beautiful and attractive panorama. And also here, there are many attractive tourist attractions that visitors cannot miss, including the lighthouse and the statue of Christ with arms outstretched,...

4. Truoc Beach Park

Truoc Beach Park is considered the "green lung" of the city. This place is covered with a green patch of trees, especially coconut trees with wide foliage. Furthermore, the park also owns more than 41 stone statues carved on the theme "miracle of the sea," made during Festival 2016 by the hands of sculptors from all over the country.

The park has an area of about 3 hectares and is located on Quang Trung, one of the most beautiful roads in Vietnam, as awarded by the Ministry of Culture. Because of its large area, the capacity here can be up to hundreds of people.

In the late afternoons, you can see groups of people doing physical exercises, old people chatting, or students sitting and reading books. Sometimes, some street music groups come here to perform acoustic music completely free of charge.

5. White Palace, Vung Tau

When traveling to Truoc Beach, you cannot help but visit Bach Dinh, also known as the White Mansion. This place used to be the residence of many famous historical figures during our country's feudal period, such as the Indochina authorities, King Bao Dai, Queen Nam Phuong,...

When coming here, tourists not only admire the classic beauty of the mansion and the ancient European architecture associated with historical stories, but also feel the tranquility and cool breeze from the sea blow in.

The name “Bach Dinh" is also associated with the white color tone of the mansion. Although it was built a long time ago, this place is still regularly repaired and repainted to maintain its beauty. Above the mansion, there is a bust of a girl.

In the mansion, there are many antique items on display, items used by King Bao Dai, Queen Nam Phuong, or other historical figures. In addition, many trees are planted on the campus surrounding the mansion, along with a large plumeria garden.

6. Vung Tau Lighthouse

This is one of the tourist destinations that has an ancient but slightly romantic feel. It is located on a beautiful road; one side is the mountainside, and the other side is the sea and the city. The road to the lighthouse is like an ancient road in the years before liberation.

This will give visitors new experiences. In particular, in the months of April - May every year, you also have the opportunity to admire the scene of white cotton blooming on the coast, blending with the blue sky and charming scenery of the water. Everything has merged into one, making diners feel interesting, like traveling in Korea.

The lighthouse was built in 1870 and renovated in 1913. After many years of establishment, they still retain their classic features and unique architecture. This place is designed in the style of a round tower, about 18 meters high.

At the foot of the lighthouse is an area displaying four ancient French cannons with a total length of up to 10 meters. During the years of resistance, this place used to be a military base to prevent enemy attacks. From the tower, diners can clearly see the top of Minh Dam Mountain in the distance and the shape of Truoc Beach.

7. Ho May tourist area

Ho May tourist area is currently the largest entertainment area in Vung Tau city, located at an altitude of 210 on Big Mountain with an area of more than 50 hectares. Because it is located on the highest mountain in Vung Tau with a large campus, the Ho May tourist area enjoys cool and fresh air. To get here, you have to travel by cable car at an "affordable" price. From the cable car, you can see the entire beautiful view of the coastal city.

When you come to Ho May, you will admire the scenery of mountains blending into the sea, a clear artificial lake, a waterfall towering above the clouds, and an ecological forest with many different animals. In particular, this place also has an entertainment area, a swimming pool, a 5D movie theater, and even a cable sliding area for those who like to conquer and adventure.

8. Nguu Island

Nguu Island is a place where many locals gather to fish every morning or late afternoon. Different from other places, Nguu Island is made up of black rocks stacked on top of each other like a herd of buffaloes basking in the sea. For that reason, this place is called Nguu Island.

If you love the sea and its raw beauty, but it also contains many interesting stories, you cannot miss this place when going to Truoc Beach. In particular, the trains in the distance that sometimes appear and disappear create a beautiful picture. At this time, you and your accomplices can take pictures as souvenirs.

9. Robert Taylor Museum of Ancient Weapons

The Robert Taylor Museum of Ancient Weapons is one of the attractions that you should not miss when planning a trip to Truoc Beach. Coming here before your eyes is an ancient-looking house built during the French colonial period, inside which are more than 3,000 artifacts of ancient weapons during the war in the 17th to 20th centuries, such as: guns, swords, spears, military equipment, military uniforms, etc. Along with that, there are portraits of domestic and foreign historical figures.

What is worth admiring for most tourists is that all the artifacts displayed here were collected by a British national, Mr. Robert Taylor. With a strong passion, he spent more than half of his life traveling around the world to learn about and collect precious artifacts. That's why this place took his name as the name of the museum—to help diners understand the hidden stories.

What should you keep in mind when traveling to Truoc Beach?

  • Some issues you need to keep in mind when planning to travel to Truoc Beach are:

  • Plan a specific visit time if you intend to visit tourist attractions to avoid distracting yourself from common work.
  • Bring necessary items such as hats, raincoats, jackets, etc., especially sunscreen.

If you travel to Vung Tau during peak seasons, weekends, or holidays, you should book a hotel, motel, or homestay in advance to avoid running out of rooms. When swimming, you should choose areas with shallow, clean water and within a safe range.
